Pro-Alito Groups Strike Back at Left

In the wake of attacks this morning by left-wing interest groups, a coalition of more than 30 right-leaning organizations formally threw their weight behind Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito. Collectively, the groups claim to represent more than 22 million Americans.

Their statement is brief:

“We, the undersigned, represent a broad coalition of groups whose members, in overwhelming majorities, support the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Samuel Alito and urge his speedy confirmation. We count more than 22,623,000 Americans among our members, who represent all walks of life.

“As a judge on the federal appellate bench as well as a longtime public servant, Judge Alito has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the rule of law and the importance of fair, open-minded and impartial decision making through our judicial system. The American people want and deserve no less.”
