I may be a little bit out of the loop and this may be common knowledge, but when I heard Al Sharpton say on Hannity last night we was ordained at the age of 10, my roomate and I looked at each other aghast. I laughed and said, "You've gotta be kidding, right? 10? Who in the world would be crazy enough to ordain a 10 year old? What 10 year old wants to be ordained?" She agreed and made a note so I would remember to blog here on Human Events about what a liar Sharpton is.
But, no. A quick google search reveals, once again truth is stranger than franken, er, fiction. He was licensed and ordained a minister at age 10 by Bishop F.D. Washington in 1964.
So, you can't drive, can't drink, can't go serve your country, go on a date or even really understand all the jokes on primetime television, but someone decides you can be a minister. Honestly....
