GOP Losses Will Be Blamed on Bush

Democrats Tim Kaine of Virginia and Jon Corzine of New Jersey won their respective governor’s races Tuesday, fending off two Republicans whose losses will most certainly be blamed partly President Bush by the mainstream media.

Kaine and Corzine easily defeated their Republican opponents. In Virginia, traditionally a Republican stronghold, Democrats picked up one seat in the state House, and ran close campaigns for lieutenant governor and attorney general, the latter still too close to call.
