Ready And Willing:

When Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) put forward his colleague Sen. Mike Crapo (R.-Idaho) as an acceptable justice for the Supreme Court on June 28, Crapo (lifetime American Conservative Union rating: 93%) said he initially laughed at the suggestion. But when asked last week by HUMAN EVENTS whether he was interested, and if he would accept an appointment, Crapo replied: ?¢â??¬???I?¢â??¬â??¢ve thought about it. It would be an incredible honor to be nominated by the President, and if the President were to call and make such a request, in all candor, I would have to give it serious consideration. That being said, I love what I?¢â??¬â??¢m doing right here in the Senate, and I?¢â??¬â??¢m not campaigning for it, nor trying to make it happen.?¢â??¬
