After Roberts?

With the White House confident of Roberts’ confirmation, speculation is already beginning over who will succeed him on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia??¢â???¬ ¦quot;if and when he is confirmed. One name that is increasingly discussed is that of Peter Keisler, a founder of the Federalist Society and head of the Justice Department’s civil division. In his first term, President Bush tried to name Yale graduate and Maryland resident Keisler to the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, but the nominee eventually asked that his name be withdrawn after Maryland’s Democratic Senators Paul Sarbanes and Barbara Mikulski objected.
