Bush Says No to Davis on D.C.:

The Bush Administration this week made it clear it wanted no part of the recent proposal by House Government Affairs Chairman Tom Davis (R.-Va.) to give a vote to the District of Columbia’s currently non-voting delegate to the U.S. House. Asked about Davis’s measure by WTOP-Radio’s Dave McConnell, White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan replied there had been “no change” in the administration’s position on a voting delegate for the District and that “this is not something we’re in favor of.”
