Liberal Rep. Jim McDermott (D.-Wash) yesterday caused a stir in the U.S. House Chamber. While leading the Pledge of Allegiance to open the Tuesday session of the House, McDermott decided not to say "under God."
Conservative Rep. Pete Sessions (R.-Tex.) said that McDermott was guilty of "embarrassing the House" and that the Leftist congressman aptly proved that "he and those like him stand more for the liberal left than they do for our friends and neighbors."
