The new liberal Air America Radio network made its debut yesterday. Launching on stations in New York, Los Angeles, Portland (Ore.), and Chicago and on XM satellite radio, the network, according to the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz, is expected "to lose $30 million in the coming years" but the Leftists aren't going to give up.
As far as content goes, Kurtz wrote that liberal, comedian-turned-talk-show-host Al Franken's show "was meandering and discursive, almost NPR-like, sounding more like someone shooting the breesze at a dinner party than trying to persuade listeners." Kurtz also noted that Franken's "self-proclaimed 'Zero Spin Zone' sometime's sounded like a zero energy zone."
