Scandal-plagued pop star Michael Jackson made an appearance on Capitol Hill yesterday to meet with members of the Congressional Black Caucus and ambassadors from various African nations. The reason for the get-together was to honor Jackson for his humanitarian work in Africa.
Of the singer, Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D.-Tex.) said, “I cannot imagine a greater asset to this fight against AIDS in Africa . . . than to have Michael Jackson.”
