The headquarters element of the 1st Infantry Division controlled Iraq’s southern nine provinces from 2010 to 2011.

New Jersey Army National Guradsmen of the Teaneck, N.J.-based 508th Military Police Company trained personnel from the Afghan National Police force in Quick Reaction Force tactics as part of its ANP QRF Mentoring Program. The training included a simulated riot and a hostage situation.
