Beige Book Shows Boosts from Housing and Autos (USA Today)
The Federal Reserve released its Beige Book, a narrative description of the economy, stating that nine of the twelve Fed districts expanded moderately from late November through December. Housing, automobile sales and manufacturing showed positive growth in much of the country. Indicators were distributed unevenly across the districts.
