The campaign of Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, released a video showing how he connects with voters.
Showing campaign stops in New Hampshire, Romney’s ad, “Earn It”, shows him interacting with everyday kind of people. It is clearly trying to convey that Romney can connect to normal Americans, and that a large number of people turned out to give support through phone calls, yard signs and walking precincts.
The theme of “earn it” may help Romney win over voters who may be turned off by the frontrunner, steady as she goes attitude that Romney’s campaign has often seemed to have.
New Hampshire is a particularly critical state for Romney, as it has been a stronghold that he has polled very well in through most of this campaign cycle. However, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has been surging in New Hampshire, Texas Rep. Ron Paul has polled consistently high and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman has spent most of his time there recently.
Romney may have to put more in to the New Hampshire contest as the dynamics of the race change.
