Here are a couple more notes from National Republican Congressional Committee Deputy Communications Director Ed Patru’s visit to Blog Row:
- He said Rep. Tom DeLay’s (R.-Tex.) race against Democrat Nick Lampson and independent Steve Stockman would be competitive. Patru said it would likely be one of the most expensive this year.
- A Washington Post article about Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Lynn Swann’s potential negative impact on House Republicans in urban areas of Philadelphia isn’t that much of a concern, Patru said. He said Swann would have less of an impact than President Bush and John Kerry had on the race in 2004.
